eBay, Real Techniques & EcoTools Brush Haul

Hello lovely readers ❤ I was super excited to share this haul with you because makeup brushes is something I was really lacking on. I didn’t realize how important they were until I really started getting in to makeup. That being said they can be expensive. Although there are more affordable brushes I really didn’t want to pay for conversion and shipping if the brushes weren’t going to work for me. I went to eBay and purchased this 8 makeup brush piece for $12 CAD, which was one of the cheaper ones I found. I would be lying if I said that one I opened it I wasn’t a bit discouraged.

The brushes came with a very heavy foul smell, Which honestly I expected. It seems to be pretty sturdy considering it’s from eBay. Above are 4 face brushes: tapered, kabuki, rounded kabuki and a angled brush. One thing I noticed right away after the smell is that the weren’t properly cut.

These brushes above are pretty much the small versions: tapered, Angled, rounded and kabuki. I’ve only gotten the opportunity to play with one of them and I do have to say it’s been good. I still of course have to play around with them.

The next two Ebay brushes i purchased are a contour brush($4CAD) and a fluffy blush brush($4CAD) . I have gotten a chance to play around with them and I have to say I love the blush brush as a powder blush. The contour brush on the other hand I would probably tell someone to skip out on.
These three brushes I purchased from Rexall. I’ve been dying to get my hands on them ! The two EcoTools brushes were roughly $13CAD each after taxes and the real techniques sculpting brush was $15CAD before tax. Haven’t gotten a chance to use any of these brushes but I love both brands and they’re all soft except for maybe the skin perfecting brush that’s a tad bit on the rougher side which is unusual for EcoTools brushes. Overall I’m super excited to use all these brushes and I can’t wait to share with you how they perform. Until next time !

Mini Michael kors Haul

Hello beautiful readers, I hope you all are having an amazing day! I just wanted to share these two goodies that Le Hubs got me!

The first thing he got me was this MK Jet Set Card Case. Originally it was priced at $48.00CAD but he got it for  $29.00CAD before taxes. Super excited because it’s perfect when I’m going to take my little fluff for a walk. It has 2 slots in the front, 2 slots in the back and a middle compartment.

The next item is this wristlet and its original pricing is $88.00 CAD but was purchased at the store for $59.00CAD before taxes. This is the Large Jet Set Wristlet in brown. It’s perfect because it actually fits my iPhone 6 plus ! They’re both made of PVC and super glad he didn’t pay full price. Thank you outlets !

I do want to make a blog post on some of my other MK pieces so hopefully it’ll help someone who’s deciding whether they should get it. Until next time !

Goody Quikstyle Hair Brush Review

Hey guys, I hope you are all are doing well ! Today’s review will be about the Goody Quikstyle Hair Brush. Now I am super behind because I remember this coming out a good 2 years ago if not more but I never wanted to take the leap and try it. I was very lucky to have received this as a gift and the second i could I tried this out. Just to let you know I have thick wavy hair. This product can be purchased at Walmart, shoppers drug mart and Rexall. It has a retail value of roughly $15CAD before taxes.

The purpose of this brush is to reduce the wetness of your hair by 30% and ultimately helping it dry a lot faster than letting it air dry. It claims to have anti microbial properties to protect the microfiber bristles from the growth of mold or mildew. The brush itself has normal bristles and in between has the blue microfibers to help absorb the water in your hair. As far as I can see it’s been holding up well from mold or mildew but I can imagine the lack of proper care could really affect that. They also have the suggestion of blow drying your brush to increase the drying process once it’s been used. You are suppose to use it like a regular brush and just brush your hair with it while it’s wet.

When it came down to how it performed I wasn’t all that impressed, granted I wasn’t expecting some miracle result but I didn’t really see all that much of a difference unless you intend to stand around brushing your hair for an hour or more. I know on the packaging it suggested using a blow dryer but I felt that kind of defeated the point and I might as well just use a blow dryer which does a perfectly good job without the brush. In the end I didn’t really see a result and felt that my friend was out $15 for nothing. Also taking the hair out was a challenge for me considering I have a crazy amount of hair that falls out after I shower. On top of that, to maintain the conditions of the brush you had to wash it, making me feel like I was taking care of my own hair. Don’t get me wrong it was an interesting idea but just poorly executed. I wouldn’t recommend this product nor would I repurchase it.

Until next time ! Hope you all have a lovely week.
